Load audit
Measured priority loads, system sizing rationale, and cross-check against your PHCN bill.
DAILY GENERATION TARGET
~9.0 kWh
Average Lagos sun day, conservative estimate
PEAK DRAW MEASURED
1.2 kW
All priority loads simultaneously
TYPICAL EVENING DRAW
650 W
Lights, fans, fridge, WFH setup, no AC
PHCN BILL CROSS-CHECK
₦18,400
Last month — consistent with measured load
Priority loads identified:
Lights and fans ~120 W
Fridge / freezer ~150 W avg
1 AC unit (1.5HP) ~1,100 W
WFH setup ~200 W
Water pump (intermittent) ~750 W
Sizing rationale: 4-panel × 545W array (2.18 kW peak) generates roughly 9 kWh/day on a clear Lagos day. The 24V 200Ah lithium battery (4.8 kWh usable) covers your typical 650W evening draw for ~7 hours overnight. AC use of 4 hours/day still fits within the daily generation budget on most days, with battery cushion for cloudy stretches.

Field notes
Observations from the site visit. What we found, what we flagged.
Roof condition: good
Aluminium-framed concrete tile roof in solid condition. No visible damage or sag. Mounting will use roof hooks rated for 30+ kg per panel. South-east orientation with 12° tilt is near-optimal for Lekki latitude (6.4°N).
No shading concerns
Confirmed via site walk: no neighboring buildings or trees cast shadow on the south-east roof section between 9 AM and 4 PM. Generation should match the daily target without de-rating.
5th panel deferred
During the survey we considered a 5-panel layout. The 5th position would have been on the south-west slope and would have shaded panel 4 by 2 PM, reducing total generation. Tunde reviewed and approved the 4-panel config which still meets your full priority load. This is reflected in the scope document.
Distribution panel ready for solar tie-in
PHCN distribution board has spare 32A breaker slots and good earthing. Inverter AC tie-in will go on a dedicated breaker. No rewiring or board upgrade needed.
Inverter and battery siting
Confirmed location with Adunni: utility room next to the kitchen. Adequate ventilation, dry, accessible for service. Cable run from roof to inverter is approximately 8 metres, within efficient range.

ENGINEER ATTESTATION
I have reviewed the site survey conducted by Fatima Adebayo on 18 April 2026 and confirm the proposed system specification is correct and appropriate for the priority loads documented. Equipment selection, mounting plan, and electrical tie-in are within current SabiHand engineering standards. Tunde Okafor, Lead System Designer.
